Conservative campaigners in Bath have joined residents in protesting the poor condition of the iconic duck pond in Royal Victoria Park, accusing the Liberal Democrat-run Council of neglecting the city's heritage, landmark, environment and attracter of wildlife, leaving in its place a smelly eyesore not befitting our City.

At the protest, campaigners called for the Council to "spend less money on unwanted and not called for bollards and more on preserving the historic character of our city." The demonstration drew local and national attention, including coverage by BBC Points West.

The state of the duck pond has become a focal point for wider concerns about Council priorities and the preservation of public spaces in Bath.
